Now that you have gone through the review section, you probably have a general idea about what you can expect from a decent Moen kitchen sink faucet. But to solidify that even more and to efficiently choose one, there are some factors that you will have to keep in mind. They are:
Build Quality
The first thing that you would want to consider before spending money on a faucet is the build quality. However, the build quality of all the Moen products is quite praiseworthy.
But the thing that you have to consider is the head of the faucet. Some of them have a cheap plastic one, which will not last for that much amount of time. So, we would recommend you not to pick those.
Hose
One of the important factors for a pull-down kitchen faucet is the hose. Even though most of them come with a high-quality hose, some of them will have something that is of average quality materials.
If you happen to get one of those, you will have to go through the hassle of dealing with leaking problems. For that reason, we would recommend you to factor in the hose while choosing a faucet.
Design and Color Coating
Most of the sink faucets that Moen is offering comes in similar body design. However, we are not saying that the design of most of the faucets is bland. If they were bland, people would not opt for those.
They feature a modern yet traditional design. But if you do want something different, you can opt for the Moen 5923 Align One-Handle.
On the other hand, the color coating options for most of the faucets are generally the same. All of them will have four to five options.
But among all of those five, the one that we would recommend is the spot-resist stainless steel one. If you get that, you will not have to worry about water spots, fingerprints, or any other type of food residue sticking on the surface.
However, if you do want something that is sleek and modern, then we would recommend you to opt for the matte black one. You can also opt for the black stainless one, but that is not available for every faucet.
MotionSense
One of the technologies that make Moen faucets stand out in the market is the MotionSense. It is basically the alternative of the touch functionality that most of the faucets are implementing nowadays.
With that being said, the manufacturer is implementing two types of sensors. One of them is the wave sensor, and the other one is the ready sensor.
You might have already understood how the wave sensor works. For activating it, you will have to wave past the sensor that is located on the handle. Because of that, you can turn the faucet on and off even if you do have a dirty hand full of food residues.
On the other hand, the story for the ready sensor is a bit different. It will activate only when there is an object in front of it. And it will deactivate after the object moves away from the front. It is probably the one that you would want to opt for if you are looking for something that offers hands-free operation.
Power Boost
Another technology that makes Moen faucets stand out is the Power Boost. However, not all of the units are going to feature this. Basically, it will boost up the overall pressure of the water. By doing so, it will be able to make carrying out cleaning and water fill-up tasks feel like taking a walk in the park.
Duralock
The Duralock is an installation mechanism. It utilizes a locking mechanism that is quite easy to connect. You will have no trouble at all in the case of installing a faucet that comes with that mechanism. In fact, you will be able to set it up to your kitchen sink in just a matter of minutes for that.
Installation Procedure
Some of the faucets will have a flexible design. That flexible design will allow them to be installed in both the one hole method or in the three-holes method.
But if you do want to install in the three holes procedure, do make sure that the packaging comes with all the necessary hardware. If it does not, you will have to get them separately.
